Dont you think that if one could already read English one would be able to speak?

I know I am not a language expert but Im pretty sure "English" is spelled English not American, maybe they should have used spellcheck before they published this app.
What a useless piece of crap! American isnt a language. I know Americans are full of themselves but this is going too far even for Americans. Speak American: was this app made by rednecks? Gimme a break. I gave it one star only because the app wouldnt let me go lower.
I had no idea American was a language. As a non-American speaker (or reader) how am I to know which button to press if I want to ask for directions to the local tavern? I may inadvertently ask for a date with some guys mother or worse.
This app would be great as a joke app... For actual use traveling to the States, youd be in trouble. Silly, unintelligent-sounding voice actress makes it incredibly hard to take this app or its publisher seriously. If their other apps are similar, wow... Free was too much to pay for this one, Id be angry if Id shelled out actual money!
This is quite bad, and has terrible production values. For example, in "where is the shopping center" (which is something I dont associate with American idiomatic english--"mall" would be more appropriate), there is a beeping in the background. Is the person supposed to be backing up while asking for the shopping center? Terrible. And if you have an app to speak English for you, having a phrase "I speak English" is probably ill-advised.
